In Chinese philosophy, the concept of yin yang ([yin – simplified Chinese: 阴; traditional Chinese: 陰; pinyin: yīn] [yang - simplified Chinese: 阳; traditional Chinese: 陽; pinyin: yáng] eum-yang in Korean; often referred to in the west as yin and yang) is used to describe how seemingly disjunct or opposing forces are interconnected and interdependent in the natural world, giving rise to each other in turn. The nature of yin–yang
Yin and yang are thought to arise together from an initial quiescence or emptiness (wuji, sometimes symbolized by an empty circle), and to continue moving in tandem until quiescence is reached again. For instance, dropping a stone in a calm pool of water will simultaneously raise waves and lower troughs between them, and this alternation of high and low points in the water will radiate outward until the movement dissipates and the pool is calm once more. Yin–yang, thus, always has the following characteristic: yin and yang describe opposing qualities in phenomena. For instance, winter is yin to summer's yang over the course of a year, and femininity is yin to masculinity's yang in human relationships.
It is impossible to talk about yin or yang without some reference to the opposite: yin–yang are rooted together. Since yin and yang are created together in a single movement, they are bound together as parts of a mutual whole. A race with only men or only women would disappear in a single generation; but men and women together create new generations that allow the race they mutually create (and mutually come from) to survive. The interaction of the two gives birth to things. Yin and yang transform each other: like an undertow in the ocean, every advance is complemented by a retreat, and every rise transforms into a fall. Thus, a seed will sprout from the earth and grow upwards towards the sky – an intrinsically yang movement. Then when it reaches its full height, it will begin to weaken, and eventually will fall back to the earth in decay – an intrinsically yin movement.
Yin always contains the potential for yang, and yang for yin. Yin and yang are balanced.

Wood Ox – Years 1925 and 1985
Wood Oxen work well as part of a team, but because of their work ethic, self-confidence and strong sense of morals, they’ll always perform better as the team’s leader. They do have a tendency to be quick-tempered and outspoken.

DRAGON

Dragon is a species of crcodile Specifically, Crocodylus porosus, It is a salt water crocodile

The crocodile is known to be able to accurately sense changes in air pressure, and be able to sense coming rain. This may have been the origin of the dragon's mythical attributes in controlling the weather, especially the rain. The association with the crocodile is also supported by the view in ancient times that large crocodiles are a variety of dragon.

Chinese dragons were considered to be physically concise. Of the 117 scales, 81 are of the yang essence (positive) while 36 are of the yin essence (negative). Initially, the dragon was benevolent but the Buddhists introduced the concept of malevolent influence among some dragons. Just as water destroys, they said, so can some dragons destroy via floods, tidal waves and storms. They suggested that some of the worst floods were believed to have been the result of a mortal upsetting a dragon.

the chinese study the behaviour and monitor it so it can warn them against natural calamities

it was used in olden times to calculate expected rainfall climatic changes

and also involves prediction of storms and other harh behaviour of nature.

thats why is considered as god and worshiped idols are called dragons and are colorful like our idols of ganesha which also includes worship of elephant is also known to warn humans whenver natural calamity is about to strike .

The dragon is more anthropomorphic in form Anthropomorphism (pronounced /ˌænθrɵpəˈmɔrfɪzəm/) is the attribution of human characteristics to non-human creatures In religion and mythology, anthropomorphism refers to the perception of a divine being or beings in human form, or the recognition of human qualities in these beings. Many mythologies are concerned with anthropomorphic deities who express human characteristics such as jealousy, hatred, or love.

dragons still symbolize leadership and success

Dragons were a symbol of power, strength, success, luck and honor

dragons did not breathe fire, nor were they thought to be entirely evil beasts. They were viewed as being wise and caring, possessing personalities, and exhibited magical powers. There are 4 distinct dragon purposes and personalities in ancient Chinese legends:
* The Fire Dragon = these dragons are the color red and help to guard the natural elements that include the wind, fire, the sky, and lightening. The Fire Dragons are short-tempered, but the most outgoing of them all.
* The Earth Dragons = are the color green and they are responsible for guarding the earth, crops and mountains. Earth Dragons possess the knowledge involved in the value of cooperating with others.
* The Metal Dragons = what else but the color gold. They guard all of the precious metals and gems. Though Metal Dragons refuse to accept failure and succeed because of that, they also have a propensity for selfishness, not caring about the feelings of others.
* The Water Dragons = appropriately colored blue, and guarding rain, waterfalls, wells, seas, and all sources of water. Water Dragons can accept defeat, get along with all people, and possess the knowledge required to rebuild.
